Gentleman

 🎭🪞Hello, good morning.

May 11, 2021, Today's devotional.

From birth until my twenties, I had a physical example of what a real gentleman was. My Grandfather, Royce Rhodes was the perfect embodiment of a gentleman. He was well-mannered, considerate, and had high standards. He was not loud or boisterous. He was not pushy, forceful, or abusive. He spoke with intention and purpose. He was joyful, funny, and full of love. This man taught me who Jehovah was before I even had a clear concept of who Jehovah was. My grandfather mirrored God's character.

God is a gentleman.

We serve a God who will not force himself into our lives. He has high standards for us. He will give us nothing but the best. He is gentle and kind with us, even in his correction. He does not browbeat us into submission. He is patient in every way with us.

Do you exhibit gentlemen qualities?

🎭Major character alert: Kings & Queens know that authority comes with standards and allowing their citizens to choose to serve them.

💓I love you; he loves you; we love you!

🙏🏽1 Peter 3:13-16 ERV
If you are always trying to do good, no one can really harm you. [14] But you may suffer for doing right. If that happens, you have God's blessing. "Don't be afraid of the people who make you suffer; don't be worried." [15] But keep the Lord Christ holy in your hearts. Always be ready to answer everyone who asks you to explain about the hope you have. [16] But answer them in a gentle way with respect. Keep your conscience clear. Then people will see the good way you live as followers of Christ, and those who say bad things about you will be ashamed of what they said.
