🎭🐢Hello, good morning.
May 15, 2021, Today's devotional. Happy Sabbath! There is a common phrase we hear very often, "Patience is a virtue"
No one really knows who first coined the phrase some believe William Langland an English poet from the 1300s may have originated the phrase.
Nonetheless, it is a true statement, Patience is a virtue, meaning a moral value we should esteem to embrace.
Patience teaches us to slow down.
Be intentional in your thought of what should be done next. It teaches you how to wait - especially today where we never take time to see something through because we are rushing to the next big thing. Or we are unkind to others because they are not acting according to our expectations.
God is patient.
Jehovah is patient with us. At times, he does not respond as quickly as we would like him to because his time (Chronos) is not in alignment with our (Kairos) time. He waits for us to come willingly to him to serve and love him. Not because he has forced us but because we chose on our own accord. He does not always give us the judgment we deserve when we consistently do things out of his will. I know as a parent, I have gained more patience, and while I will never be Abba, I strive to move with the same love as him.
How are you embracing patience in your life?
🎭Major character alert: Kings & Queens realize that patience is one of the keys to a successful kingdom.
💓I love you; he loves you; we love you!

🙏🏽2 Peter 3:8-9,15 ERV
But don't forget this one thing, dear friends: To the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years is like a day. [9] The Lord is not being slow in doing what he promised-the way some people understand slowness. But God is being patient with you. He doesn't want anyone to be lost. He wants everyone to change their ways and stop sinning. [15] Remember that we are saved because our Lord is patient. Our dear brother Paul told you that same thing when he wrote to you with the wisdom that God gave him.
